Ian Marshall, a proper centre forward. They don't make them like that anymore. We had Alan Young once, who was a proper centre forward too, then there was Ewan Robers, but I don't think we had another until Marshy turned up. A battler, won headers, scored proper goals, did not ponce about, just played football how it should have been played. Whoever he played for I am sure their fans warmed to Marshy as much as we all did. Highlights, well quite a few important goals, but for me, just seeing a proper centre forward play for Leicester was good enough for me.
Tracking down players shirts is hard, but tracking down this guys was ultra difficult. He was never bothered with swapping shirts at the end of games, so there are very few of them around. This is a belter, rare third kit, used in very few matches. This is also different material wise to the other two yellow shirts I have of other players. This is probably because Marshy's were specially made, two inches longer than any other players. Heskey shirts were big, but this is much bigger. Great shirt, great centre forward.
