Match Worn Vintage Shirt.
| This shirt came from someone who had a shirt collection from Ipswich Town, so at some point this must have been a shirt swap between players, or left in the dressing room for some reason. In the 70's players did not swap shirts and the shirts would have been used throughout the season, so for this to come from Ipswich must hold some story behind it. |
| The shirt would have been worn by Steve Whitworth, but could also at some point been worn by Derek Dawkins, Tommy Williams, Geoff Salmons and Steve Kember. |
| The shirt is of thick cotton design, which differed from the replica's, which were polyester. The player shirts also had embroidered crests rather than the transfers that were added to the replicas. |
| The shirts changed slightly over the three years that they were used. This one does not have the extra row of stitching that were visible on certain shirts used during these years. The embroidered crest also has slight differences.
I am not sure whether this was an earlier or later shirt and I am not sure in which Ipswich game the shirt was used in. |
