Really pleased to get this shirt, that came from someone who got it from a raffle. Old Leicester shirts that were given to raffles, often used to be shirts that were not needed by the club, and this one fits this criteria perfectly. Gerry Taggart was injured all season, so this shirt would not have been required, hence it finding its way out of the club. Further evidence of this is apparent as Gerry did actually come on for the last few minutes of the final game of the season, in a replica shirt, which the club auctioned off. That shirt is also on the website. I always wondered why the shirt he wore was a replica, and now I know, this being the shirt he should have worn if they had not given it away.
